Sponsor A Bible

In order to have intimacy with the Lord, we NEED His Word. John 1:1 tells us

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." 

Jesus is the Word. So how can we have intimacy with Him without it?

As I was writing this book, the Lord emphasized that its foundation would be His Word. There is scripture on just about every page. After each section, there are in-depth Bible studies to help the reader become more like the Bereans we read about in Acts 17:11. 

After Paul would teach, they would go back and find everything in Scripture. The Lord has called us to do the same. This is a part of intimacy. 

The Word is our first line of communication with our Lord, and it is our weapon in this dark world. It is literally a light on our path, and we need it. Deuteronomy 38 says:

"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord."

Many of us have His Word at our fingertips, but some do not. 

When a Sister in Christ applies for a sponsored book, she is asked whether she has a Bible. The truth is, you can't complete this book or life without one. When I saw that many did not own a Bible, the Lord placed it on my heart to give them one. He said, "They do not need to go away, you feed them." (Matthew 14:16). He reminded me that it is He who gives seed to the sower so that we may give. 

So, through the Non-Profit that the Lord has blessed me to be the founder of, I can provide Bibles to those in need by the Lord's provision - not my own.
